The business commenced during May 1996 as one of Brisbane's first security industry training providers. By 2001 the company, now Corporate Security Training (CST) had grown to become one of Queensland's largest private providers of security industry training.

The company expanded and diversified in June 2006 to include business management and drilling industry training. This heralded the introduction of CST Business School and CST Industrial which along with Corporate Security Training form Training-1 P/L
