The course includes both individual and group oriented training to improve your understanding of the industry's operations. Employment The demand for security personnel will certainly continue with the private, corporate and business sectors seeking the services of trained professionals. On completion of this program graduates may work as a static guard, mobile patrol officer, access control officer, events security, armed guard, cash in transit and armoured vehicles. Improve your skills and improve your employment opportunities! Prerequisites Pre-requisites include qualification in Certificate II in Security Operations. It is a requirement of the Queensland Police Service that this qualification is completed no more than 12 months prior to applying for a Firearms License. Please contact the office for assistance if your Certificate II in Security Operations is older than 12 months. Students need reasonable numeric and literacy skills with a sound capacity in spoken English. Course Format ******* In order to attain your Weapons Licence you MUST hold a Certificate II in Security (Guarding) or Certificate II in Security Operations issued within the previous 12 months.
