The course is presented using in-class training, practical dry-fire, multi-media firearms scenarios, group discussions, defensive techniques and interactive learning techniques. The course includes both individual and group oriented training to improve your understanding of the industry's operations.

Pre-requisites include qualification in Certificate II in Security Operations. It is a requirement of the Queensland Police Service that this qualification is completed no more than 12 months prior to applying for a Firearms License.

Please contact the office for assistance if your Certificate II in Security Operations is older than 12 months.

Students need reasonable numeric and literacy skills with a sound capacity in spoken English.
